DESCRIPTION AND CONDITION
DESCRIPTION	Clarice Cliff Bizarre porcelain is beautifully made, very Art Deco and extremely decorative and this piece is no exception. This unusual biscuit or sweet basket with lid stands 16 cm tall (without the whicker handle), is 16 cm wide and 10 cm deep. It is, of course, of British manufacture (made by Wilkinson, Exeter). The handpainted decoration goes right around the piece and is different on every side to form a panoramic image of a cottage in a country garden. There are 7 more images of this lovely piece. Please have a good look at them for more detail if you are interested on bidding on this item. I have tried to illustrate it as best possible, but please ask a question if there is anything you are unsure about.
CONDITION	This piece is very presentable and the damage to it is virtually invisible when it is on display - but there is some damage to it and the serious collector will probably have it restored. There are 2 damage spots on the basket and 2 on the lid which is shown on the images below.

A beautiful, unusual and very collectable piece of Clarice Cliff Bizarre.

The decoration on the front.

This decoration is right around the basket to form an image of an English Country Garden. It is shown in this collage of images of the 4 sides. The damage to the handle (at the section where the whicker swing handle fits on) and the top rim at the back can also clearly be seen on the 2 bottom images.

The Clarice Cliff Bizarre markings on the bottom..

The two damaged areas on the basket are shown on this image. There is a chip of 4.5 cm wide on the top rim and the handle on the one side (where the whicker swing handle fits on the basket) has a piece missing at the bottom. There is also a crack at the top and side of this handle or knob.

The damage on the lid is very minor and is shown above. There is a piece of glaze (5 mm wide at the widest spot) missing at the bottom of one corner and a minute chip on the rim.
