This vintage piece is crafted in 9ct yellow gold and features a very pretty 'London Blue' topaz (as opposed to the Swiss Blue or Sky Blue Topaz), beautifully oval-faceted and set on elongated claws that hold the gemstone a splendid 7mm above the finger. Framing the topaz, and on a lower tier, are 12 small, round-faceted natural diamonds claw set in 9ct white gold. The colour contrast between the sparkling steely-blue topaz, the warm yellow gold and the icy sparkle of the ruff of diamonds is gorgeous. The 11mm long x 9mm wide ring head is supported on a slender 9ct yellow gold shank that forks horizontally on the shoulders. It weighs 2,58 grams. The pedigree of the piece is evident in the hallmarks, including the 375 hallmark indicating 9ct gold, the jeweller's signature, the date hallmark for 1982 and the London Assay mark. The ring has a classic design but the beautiful colour makes it rather special.
