This Classic vintage bracelet is based on the design of Setukaisten Kääty (Chain Necklace of the Seto People) by Kalevala Koru, Finland. Deceptively simple at first glance, the design of this chain link bracelet is actually more complex and resembles a woven style. Placed in just the right way, it has a fascinating spiraling appearance. Each link is stamped with tiny moon crater like marks.
The Setukaisten Kääty bracelet is based on jewellery worn by the women of the Seto people in southern Estonia, being part of their magnificent full dress. The bracelet itself has a renaissance look, and a similar woven necklace is known to have been worn by a 16th century Swedish queen.
The bracelet features a hook closure and safety chain. The hook can be clasped onto any link of the bracelet, so the size is very adjustable (see photo).
