An interesting cruicible I believe to be made out of graphite and clay. Used in the smelting industry. There is chip out of the bottom that I have shown in the pictures. I welcome any comments or questions.
Google: Cruicibles graphite and clay - The Morgan company was founded in Battersea in South London by the six Morgan brothers in 1856 as The Patent Plumbago Syndicate Limited to make graphite crucibles. The Morgan Crucible Company was adopted as the name in 1881 and it diversified into carbon brushes in 1904.
