Clay Pigeon Shooting

Clay Pigeon Shooting, is an introduction to the sport and a guide on how to get the most out of it. This book has been written for the person taking up clay pigeon shooting for enjoyment. As the author says, it is not intended to be a substitute for actual shotgun handling, but it is full of practical information and hints on how to improve technique, as well as a brief history of the sport describing the shooting scene leading up to the introduction of the first inanimate targets, and its progress since.

There are chapters about the different types of tournament events Down the Line, Skeet and Olympic Trench as well as variations including hand trapping and Mo-Skeet-O; the choice of guns and traps available; improving on shooting techniques; forming a club; and The Clay Pigeon Shooting Association.

The Appendices cover the Rules, both modern and historical, for the tournament events.
