CLEMATIS VILLOSA

Old name:  Clematis scabiosifolia

This beautiful shrub grows to about 1 meter.   Shoots from woody rootstock are covered with silvery hairs.  The flowers are a beautiful pink.  This plant is indigenous to Southern Africa, and South Africa.  It has a long flowering season, from late summer, autumn, and winter.  Plant in the full sun, or in half sun.   Clematis is attractive to butterflies, and bees, and people with a great scent. Drought resistant.
