Unakite has a mottled pattern of green, pink, and white to gray colors, and sometimes has black veining. Unakite can be found in the United States, Brazil, China, India, Sierra Leone, South Africa, and Australia. Unakite is also known as epidote granite or epidotized granite
LEOPARD STONE / SERPENTINE: Leopard Stone, is a stunning serpentine gem from the Nyanga region of eastern Zimbabwe. It is known for its striking black spots against a pale green background. This rare gem features bold, eye-catching patterns, making it a true geological wonder. Historically used in Shona art carvings, the traditional art of polishing Leopard Stone had faded, but expert Zimbabwean lapidaries have recently revived this craft.
BANDED AGATE: Banded agate is a variety of chalcedony, which is a mineral that is a type of quartz. It is characterized by distinct bands of different colors and textures that run through the stone, creating a striped or banded pattern. These bands are often composed of alternating layers of translucent or opaque chalcedony, and may include other minerals, such as iron oxides, manganese, or other trace elements, which contribute to the stones colors and patterns. Red banded agate is a type of chalcedony that's made of silicone and iron dioxide. It's formed over millions of years in volcanic rocks or lava flow cavities. In ancient Egypt, it was used to make beads, amulets, and scarabs. In ancient Rome, it was used to make signet rings. In medieval times, knights and warriors set it into weapons and armor for protection. Today, it's still used in jewelry and decorative items.
NARMADA STONE: The Narmada stone, also known as the Shiva Lingam, is made of cryptocrystalline quartz and red iron oxide which geologists believe was implanted by an ancient meteorite. The Narmada stone is found in the Narmada River in India, which is considered one of the country's seven holiest pilgrimage sites. The stones are naturally formed in the riverbed and are often polished into their famous elongated egg shape. In Hinduism, the Narmada stone is a sacred icon that represents the Lord Shiva and the harmony of the soul. The stone's shape and markings are said to embody both masculine and feminine energy.
AVENTURINE: Aventurine stone is a green color stone which can have flecks of white in the stone. The Aventurine stone eggs is smooth polished and mostly originates from Zimbabwe. Commonly mistaken for jade, aventurine is actually a member of the quartz family. It gets its glittery appearance from inclusions of fuchsite (green mica). Aventurine adopted its name from a similar looking Italian glass (a ventura) in the early 1700s. With a Mohs hardness of 7, the beautiful green stone is well suited for carving and jewelry making. Metaphysically, aventurine is believed to bring love, joy, and prosperity. Aventurine is most commonly found in Brazil, India, Zimbabwe, Austria, and Russia.
