AFRICAN MAGNESITE / HOWLITE:
Magnesite, MgCO, is a mineral belonging to the carbonate group. Its name comes from the main element - magnesium. This white or off-white mineral can sometimes have different shades due to impurities such as iron, manganese or nickel, which give it shades of pink, yellow or brown. Magnesite usually forms as a sedimentary mineral at the bottom of salt lakes or as a hydrothermal mineral in areas of geothermal activity. It can also form during metamorphism of dolomite rocks, when a magnesium-rich solution replaces calcite in dolomite to form magnesite. This mineral can be found all over the world, including countries such as Austria, Italy, Brazil, South Korea, Russia and Zimbabwe.
Lightning Strike Howlite from Zimbabwe is a rare variety of magnesite featuring bold, black veining that creates striking, lightning-like patterns across a white or light grey matrix. This unique appearance resembles bolts of lightning. The dramatic veining results from mineral inclusions formed under high pressure over geological time, creating intricate, web-like patterns that stand out sharply against the pale background.

LEOPARD STONE / SERPENTINE:
Leopard Stone, is a stunning serpentine gem from the Nyanga region of eastern Zimbabwe. It is known for its striking black spots against a pale green background. This rare gem features bold, eye-catching patterns, making it a true geological wonder. Historically used in Shona art carvings, the traditional art of polishing Leopard Stone had faded, but expert Zimbabwean lapidaries have recently revived this craft.

NARMADA STONE:
The Narmada stone, also known as the Shiva Lingam, is made of cryptocrystalline quartz and red iron oxide which geologists believe was implanted by an ancient meteorite. The Narmada stone is found in the Narmada River in India, which is considered one of the country's seven holiest pilgrimage sites. The stones are naturally formed in the riverbed and are often polished into their famous elongated egg shape.
In Hinduism, the Narmada stone is a sacred icon that represents the Lord Shiva and the harmony of the soul. The stone's shape and markings are said to embody both masculine and feminine energy.
