Cover shelf-rubbed but still reasonably bright and clean. Jacket protected by clear adhesive cover. Lower edge rubbed, but not scuffed or torn. Upper edge rubbed, slightly scuffed at the head of spine and the hinges, with small damp-stain to top edge of rear panel and front flap--which show slight erosion to top edge. Jacket shows light foxing and age-toning on the inside, with damp-staining along the upper and lower edges. Price-clipped.
Boards reasonably intact, light fading along the top edge. Title, author name and publisher in gilt lettering bright and intact on spine. Light ding to lower edges of the boards--indented only, not scuffed. Corners bumped. Small scuff mark to top edge of rear panel. Small scuff mark to top edge of text block, with small damp-stain extended 7mm into top edge of last quarter of the book. Previous owner name on front free endpaper. Endpapers age-toned. Otherwise the book is clean; no foxing, no underlining or highlighting, no annotations or marginalia. A page appears to have been neatly cut off (frontispiece perhaps) and the title page appears to be neatly affixed to the remainder at the hinge. Otherwise no loose or missing pages, no tears. Binding secure.
