Coconuts 2, The

The Coconuts is a show about a middle class South African family, who, despite a stern warning from a wise elder, park their caravan on an ancestral burial ground whilst on holiday. After a huge storm that night, the family wakes up the following morning only to discover that they have all changed colour. They have all become black and their domestic worker Patience is white - much to her dismay!

The family's attempt to now live out their lives as a black middle class family in Benoni naturally lead to some hilarious antics and situations.

In the new season of the show, we pick up where season one left off: wife and mother Amandla is almost nine months pregnant and the big question hanging over everyone's heads is whether the baby is going to be black or white. And furthermore: what are they going to do if it turns out to be white??

Amandla's mother, who doesn't even know that her daughter is black, is due to come to Benoni for a visist, and to help with the home-birth. The role of "Ouma" is played by veteran actor, Elize Cawood.
