Coffee Grinder: Spong & Co, London

James Osborne Sponge established  himself as an ironmonger in London, in 1856. I believe the company – Spong & Co - was in production until the early 1960’s. James Osborne Sponge, to this day,  is renown for inventing time saving domestic appliances. He designed and patented this cast iron coffee grinder some hundred years ago. These were available in five graduating sizes, that  were numbered 0 to 4. This grinder, No 3, comes in all original condition, with its original tin container still in place. This is a large, heavy old contraption, so please add R60 for postage.
