This book, edited by Martin Jessop Price, is probably the most expensive book on coins that I have ever held in my hands. It is unusually big, even for a hard cover coffee table book, with more than 1400 coins of all ages shown in over 2000 picture illustrations, many in color.
It was published by Methuen New York in association with British Museum Publications, Ltd., c1980.
It is numbered 227 and was a gift from Eli Levine, author of, amongst others, the Coinage and Counterfeits of the ZAR, to Ken Jacobs (To Ken Jacobs. Wishing you many more books and birthdays. Eli Levine) Please see following pictures…
This will most probably be the most expensive book on coins that you will EVER bid on!
