ON AUCTION IS A COLD CAST BRONZE STATUE OF A SEATED SCOTSMAN OR HIGHLANDER. IT FEATURES A SCOTSMAN WEARING A TRADITIONAL KILT AND A TAM O SHANTER CAP HOLDING A WALKING STICK.
 
It has a green felt base. Residue of a sticker which is missing can be seen. Similar statues are refered to online as Heredities figurines which is a brand known for such figurines.
 
Cold cast bronze is a technique where bronze powder is mixed with resin to be cast into a sculpture. It allows for intricate detailing to be cast.
 
Scottish Highlanders are the people of the Scottish Highlands, known historically for their strong clan system, unique Gaelic culture, and resilience in a rugged landscape. The clan system was central to their social structure, with a chief providing land for kinsmen who shared a common ancestor. Following the Jacobite defeat at Culloden in 1746, political and economic changes, including the evictions of a significant number of tenants in the Scottish Highlands and Islands, mostly in two phases from 1750 to 1860, which led to mass emigration, making descendants of Highlanders more numerous outside Scotland than within it.
