Collectible Midcentury Arzberg Germany small teapot with integrated large cup

Offered for sale is a collectible hard to find small 'Tea for one" teapot with an integrated large cup forming the base and support for the teapot. The design is by acclaimed designer Matteo Thun for his Fantasia range commissioned by Arzberg in the 1980's circa 1986/87. Matteo Thun is a noted designer from the Memphis school of artists who produced quirky highly individual modernist designs with eccentric playful  stylings and detail. This set is in blanc de chine pure white porcelain with a semi gloss glaze. The teapot, cup and lid have hooped ring handles while the spout of the teapot is truncated short and cylindrical resembling a gun turret. The teacup is supported by three rounded stub like feet/supports. Both the teapot and the cup are marked with the Arzberg Germany stamp in green.
