Collectible Midcentury Modern large German majolica bowl circa 1950`s

Offered for sale is a collectible Midcentury Modern West German majolica bowl  made by the company Ostehr Edelkeramik and dating to the Mid 20th Century circa 1950's. This is a vibrant eye catching statement piece which would enhance a modern interior . The bowl is made from earthenware/majolica  and hand painted with a mottled and streaked running glaze in the interior of the bowl and hand painted applied flowers sprigged around the perimeter of the bowl. The star shaped flowers resemble edelweiss in white and star of bethlehem flowers in dark  mauve-blue . The exterior of the bowl is glazed in a dark chocolate brown with bright orange accents. The bowl has a stamped underglaze makers mark on the base with the manufacturers name Ostehr Edelkeramik and Made in Germany.
