Collectible Post modern ceramic vase by Dutch company Serax circa 1990`s

Offered for sale is a quirky and unusual ceramic vase designed by Marie Michielssen  for the Dutch design/home-ware company Serax Maison D'Etre based in Antwerp . Michielssen is married to one of the founders on the company and is the resident in-house principal designer although the company also makes use of external talented designers from all over Europe. This is a slip cast earthenware item hand painted in an acrylic PVA. The striations of the brush marks are faintly visible on the form. The extraordinary shape comprises three conjoined round forms graduating in size  with a large round aperture in the middle form. The shape suggests a comical humanoid form with a large round mouth. The vase is marked with a paper label . Serax is a very successful Dutch design homeware company similar to Ikea which designs and manufacturers stylish functional and unusual items for the home .
