Collectible Retro Genie decanter Empoli Glass Italy 1960's

Offered for sale is a striking large and very decorative glass decanter attributed to the Italian glass making district of Empoli and known by the generic title Empoli Glass. Empoli glass is made in Tuscany south west of Florence. This piece is in good condition with slight age related wear to the plastic screw seal in the stopper. The decanter is in a vivid turquoise /kingfisher blue  and is mould blown with an attractive textured hobnail and geometric repeat pattern of squares on the surface of the bottle. This item dates to the 1960's and is referred to by collectors as a " Genie Bottle/decanter ". This piece would make a strking decor accent or feature in a retro or modernist style home. The piecs is large approx 50cm high including the stopper. Prices vary considerably for internet listings in Europe but not infrequently in the region of 60 US dollars/700 Euros etc.
