Collection of five Hifra fountain pens in good condition. The origin of these pens is shrouded in mystery. They seem to be found only in South Africa. The thinking is that they were either made or smuggled into SA during the sanction years. That is why there is no 'Made In' marks anywhere on the pens or the packaging. It suspected that they were made by either Platinum in Japan or a local manufacturer.
This site speculates about it http://estilofilos.blogspot.co.za/search/label/Hifra
There is a red and a black model 4415 with an exposed nib, a dark blue 4401 and a black 4414 which are Parker 51 clones and a stylish green Deluxe.
All the pens have been cleaned and the nibs checked. Th exposed nibs look like they come from a far more expensive pen. But they have not been inked afterwards. That is why I am including a few spare bladders. These are 40-50 year old pens after all.
Make me an offer.
