Collection of Philatelic Books (ONLY for Private Pick-Up in the Western Cape)
The Western Cape Numismatic Society has recently received a large numismatic library as a donation. Books and publications that are duplicates (already in the WCNS library) or that are not relevant for the society's usage are currently being auctioned off on BoBShop. The funds received, after fees, will be donated to the society. Some of the lots are very heavy, and private pick will be indicated as the only shipping option.
The books are the following:-
- The Special & Commemorative Postmarks, Cachets & Covers of South Africa (2ndEdition 1978) by Hasso O. Reisener.
- Handbook of South West Africa under South Africa Administration by Ralph F. Putzel 1914-1977. The top right hand corner of the book is bend.
- The South African Stamp Colour Catalogue (Editions for 1995 and 2001)
- South African Airmails by Captain M.F. Stern (Both a chronological listing and a price listing, The booklets look unused but the first page of the first book shows some slight damage).
- An Authentic Guide to Stamp Collecting by C.F. Ingram (undated but probably from the 1950s?)
- The Running stag The Stamps and Postal History of Israel by Meier Persoff. Published in 1973.
