Written by Colette Mansell, and published in 1983, this was recognised as the definitive work on the history of doll-making in Britain from 1920 to 1983, well into the new millennium. It was out of print and highly sought after in the UK in the 1990’s, but I have no idea whether it has subsequently been reprinted.   This is a hardcover book. It contains 390 pages, and is well illustrated with some twenty colour plates, and a great many black and white pictures. It covers all the well know British factories, but also some of the lesser known “cottage industries.” Please add R38 for postage.
