Blackwell Products Combination Sharpening Stone 200mm A combination stone is all many people need. The disadvantage if you do a lot of sharpening is that each grit grade is available only on one side of the stone, while with a single-grit stone both sides can be used. This saves time, for instance, if you find that one side has become too dished for effective sharpening: you simply turn the stone over and continue sharpening, leaving the flattening of the stone to a later date.
