The RETAY MOD 92 is a loose replica of the Beretta 92 FS as well as the VEKTOR Z88.
Just like the 9x19 Parabellum Baretta original - all of the expected features on this pistol is fully functional
It is front venting, meaning it will expell its discharge blast out the muzzle.
It sports a full metal design w/ plastic, crisp-feeling diamond checkered grip stocks fastened by means of two phillips slotted panhead screws. It does not have any replica type emblem on the grip stocks. The beaver tail on the apex of the backstrap will sufficiently prevent possible hammer-bite, even to the largest shooter's hands. This pistol is hammer operated, which, right behind its cocking groove, has horizontal cocking serrations.
The slide itself is partially skeletized, with a series of slightly canted cocking serations behind the open ejection port and in front of the double-sided safety lever which functions ambidexterously (swivels downward 65° from 90° position to go on to 'SAFE' mode).
The slide catch is fully functional and will catch if the slide is racked w/ no rounds being chambered and likewise, when the last round is expended, this feature will likewise retain the slide.
The make, model and calibre markings are printed on the left side of the slide's fore, w/ the serial number just beneath on the frame itself.
There are realistic looking open sights integrated on the slide's top to add to the realism of this pistol.
The take-down lever is fully functional and after being rotated 90° counter-clockwise, that entire piece can be pushed out from the other side , allowing one to remove the slide by pulling it rearward entirely, then lifting its hind and letting this lifted piece slowly forward, pushing it off of the barrel. Doing so, allows you to properly clean your pistol's working assembly, however, there is a trick to the blowback rod (note the hole through its head) when reassembling the slide back onto the pistol / over the barrel proper.
The magazine release button will push the magazine out, which itself features a 16 round double stack capacity. The magazine is sheet steel, prone to corrosion and thus will need a product like BIRCHWOOD CASEY BARRICADE to keep the magazine free of rust.
Like most all blank pistols, this pistol is semi-automatic. It comes w/ a black matte finish and all-metal design.
Caliber : 9 mm P.A.K
Magazine : Capacity 15+1
Safety : Firing pin safety
Length : 220 mm
Height : 145 mm
Weight : 1164 gr
Trigger : Double action
System : Semi automatic - No full auto function. "Semi Automatic" means that the pistol automatically chambers a following round, after one has been expended/expelled from the ejection port.
The barrel is blocked by a cross-bolt welded across its interior circumference and should not be tampered with. Doing so, automatically voids any and all warranty claims. Moreover, it would be a criminal offence likewise to tamper with that rod and likewise to chamber 9x19mm Parabellum rounds into this gun. Be warned also that doing so, will cause your barrel to split apart and your slide to deform / warp from excess pressures this pistol is not manufactured to tolerate. Please also never use 300 BAR rounds, for the same above-mentioned reason
