The battery pack and Docking cable are missing.

You can run in off the 1A or better phone charger or a Power bank.

If you switch it off and leave the power cable connected it will go into hibernation and  restart where you left off. Draws < 10mA in standby.

If your are handy with a soldering iron you could install two rechargeable AA 1.2V Ni-Cad  batteries.  Charging circuit is working.

Adding a PCMCI card reader would allow increase of storage and allow data transfer with modern PC.
