THE HOUSE OF SAXE-COBURG-GOTHA (1901 TO 1910)

¿Edward the Peacemaker¿ was born on 9 November 1841, and married Princess Alexandra of Denmark. He indulged himself in every decadent luxury, while his wife tried to ignore his extra-marital activities. Edward travelled extensively and was crucial in negotiating alliances with Russia and France. Edward VII died on 8 May 1910.

Portrait of King Edward VII
