Queen Elizabeth II was born on 21 April 1926. As the current British Monarch, she has lived a long and glorious reign celebrating her Golden Jubilee in 2002. She married Philip a distant cousin in 1947 and has four children, Charles, Anne, Andrew and Edward.
Significantly she is the first English monarch to pay taxes and her coinage has been an interesting one with the change to the decimal coinage and numerous bust changes since 1953.
The minting of Farthings came to an end in 1956. So during Elizabeth¿s reign only 4 dates were minted being 1953, 1954, 1955 and 1956. This collection includes all four dates and all are in pristine UNCIRCULATED condition. The catalogue value over this collection is over R200.00
