Complete vintage Record No. 50 Improved Combination Plane with 17 cutters in box. I would date this old Record plane to the 1940/50s. It was seen as a combined tool which would perform most planing operations generally required in cabinet making and joinery. It was fitted with screw adjustment to the cutter, which enabled it to be fed into the work with an accurate and easy control. The plane is complete with 17 cutters in a wooden box, cutter clamping bracket and depth gauge. All of this is housed in the original jointed wooden box (unfortunately the lid is missing). The plane is in good condition - looks hardly used. Great buy for the woodworker.
