Complete vintage Siemens tabletop bakelite telephone

Complete vintage Siemens tabletop bakelite telephone. This lovely old telephone dates back to the 1940s. It is marked "Siemens Brothers British (PTY), Johannesburg" on the receiver. The phone is complete and the line cord has been modified with a modern phone connection. I plugged it into the wall jack and could hear that it was connected,  but I think the phone is locked because it would not dial. When I dialed the number, the phone rang. I am sure that it would not be a huge job getting it in working order. The phone is in good condition for its age - small chip on the earpiece that does not effect its working. Great buy for use or the collector of vintage phones.
