Completely INERT Tail Section of the scarce Soviet RPG-2 Rocket. A battlefield pick-up at Mapai, Mozambique during Operation Uric (Rhodesian Attack on Insurgent Bases and Facilities at Mapai, Mozambique) on 6 September 1979. It was on this date that a SAAF Puma Helicopter (164) carrying 14 personnel from No. 1 Commando, 1st Battalion Rhodesian Light Infantry and elements of 2 Rhodesian Engineer Regiment, was shot down by an RPG-7 Rocket & concentrated small-arms ground fire near Mapai. All aboard, including the SAAF Crew, Capt Paul Vellerman, Lt Nigel Osborne and F/Sgt Dick Retief were killed. A unique souvenir from a highly successful but costly Rhodesian Security Forces Operation. Postage is R40-00. Sorry, no overseas bidders please.
