This Composite to HDMI Converter has a composite video input, an S-Video input and an HDMI output. You can connect any device with a composite output such as a video player, satellite receiver or DVD player to this device and then connect a display with an HDMI input such as a TV or projector. The converter has the usual 3 RCA or phono sockets for video and audio inputs, coloured yellow for video with red and white for audio. Alternatively, the converter has an S-Video socket for video input, these are sometimes found on camcorders and produce a slightly better image quality than composite video.

This Composite to HDMI converter has a built-in scaler to allow compatibility with the widest range of displays. The output is720p.

The input connections on this device are three phono/RCA sockets, and a S-Video socket. The output is a standard full size HDMI socket. (5V PSU included)

**Please note: this converter upconverts the output to 720p for optimum viewing on an HDTV. However, a poor quality, standard definition composite video input cannot be converted into a high definition output, even with the advanced processing that is available in this converter. There may be some improvement, but no converter can re-create video information that is not present in the input
