BOLD CONTEMPORARY FIRE OPAL STERLING SILVER RING. 925
This well-crafted, solid piece features a row of 5 x oval, full flash natural fire opal cabochons (unheated), bezel set into solid sterling silver, luminous and iridescent, glorious on the finger. The 25mm wide x 9mm long ring head is simple, the bezels holding the gemstones providing a curvilinear base. The slender shank broadens just after tucking under the finger, forking into two strands to support the ring head; the openwork adding interest to the piece. The ring weighs a hefty 5,37 grams and bears the 925 hallmark indicating sterling silver. The opal cabochons are quite large and the silver bezel setting thick, raising the ring 5mm above the finger. Rather a gorgeous piece.
