The Golden treasury of Poetry Louis Untermeyer

An illustrated collection of over 350 English and American poems, about animals, people, famous events, the seasons, and Christmas, and including nonsense verse, inspirational lines, and wisdom in rhyme.  Louis Untermeyer was an American poet, anthologist, critic, and editor. He was appointed the fourteenth Consultant in Poetry to the Library of Congress in 1961. This book has some damage on the back cover - hence the excellent price.  The inside is quite fine, the illustrations exquisite.
