Beautiful Limited Edition (1500 worldwide) Schuco model of the trailblazing Cooper-Climax T51 Formula One cars which won the Championship in 1959 and 1960 thus finishing off forever front engined F1 cars. Featuring fully opening bodywork revealing the detailed engine and chassis including the leaf spring rear suspension!

This model represents the 1959 Italian Grand Prix winning car in the hands of legendary driver Stirling Moss.

Moss had given the previous Cooper-Climax car, the T43, not only its debut win in the 1958 Argentine GP but also the first win for a rear-engined F1 car (technically mid-engined) in the modern era (this excluding the pre-war Auto-Union cars!)

The Cooper-Climax T51 won both the 1959 and 1960 World Championships in the hands of Jack Brabham an extraordinary achievement for a small 'garage' F1 team.

A wonderful model for any F1 collection - steeped in F1 history and folklore.

In as-new condition and supplied in the original box also excellent.
