A complete environmentally friendly way of slug & snail control in the garden that does not kill.Ideal for protecting garden pots, staging and cold frames and tables. Also used on tree stems to protect against climbing pests. How it works. The copper tape is provided with a self adhesive backing. Simply peel away backing liner and wrap around circumference of the planter & pots etc. The copper tape gives any slug a low voltage charge generated by the slug itself trying to travel over the surface. The slug will do an about face and will return from where it came.Description. The copper barrier tape is 30mm wide x 4m long and is coated on the reverse with a solvent acrylic pressure sensitive adhesive, and will therefore not fall off when wet. Directions for use. Clean and dry the surface intended to adhere to. Peel off backing paper for a few inches and apply these first few inches before peeling off any release liner any further. Then with one hand holding the copper tape roll and the other holding the loose tail of the adhesive release liner gradually unwind copper barrier tape whilst removing adhesive release liner and apply as evenly as possible.Ensure all the circumference is covered and overlaps slightly. Occassonal wiping of the copper with a cloth will keep the copper surface in A1 condition.Plants within borders can also be protected by applying copper barrier tape to a ring made from old garden pots without a base.
