Corkscrew possibly silver?

For your consideration is a most interesting little piece.  I have no idea why a

corkscrew would need to have a whistle built into one half of its handle, but this

one has just that.  It screws apart and folds away into a very neat and

attractive little cylinder.  Measuring 87 mm long and with a diameter of  15mm

at its thickest, it appears to be silver but has no hallmarks.  I must stress at

this point that I am no expert on silver and am only voicing an opinion.  Please

do not bid on the strength of that, but rather on the inherent attractiveness of this

unusual little piece.
