VINTAGE CORNFLOWER BLUE SAPPHIRE AND DIAMOND 9ct GOLD RING. *JEWELLER CERTIFIED R12'920*

A very pretty piece, the starring role goes to a striking cornflower blue oval-cut sapphire. Ten round-cut diamonds (totalling 0,14 carats) circle the sapphire; a lovely combination of the bright blue with the white sparkle of the diamonds and the warm yellow gold of the shank and claws. The shank is a simple band, narrowing at the shoulders before joining the ring head where quite a high claw setting raises it to 5mm above the finger. The pedigree of the piece is shown in the hallmarks - '375' indicating 9ct gold, the London Assay mark and the jeweller's signature. I have had the ring jeweller tested and authenticated. His evaluation certificate for R12'920 will accompany the ring. I acquired this piece from my favourite vintage jeweller in London and it stands out in my mind because of the particularly bright blue of the 0,29 carat sapphire. Dainty, feminine, and very pretty - a special piece!
