A bit of background:
Corning Ware's iconic Blue Cornflower pattern, created by Joseph Baum in the late 1950s, became a staple in kitchens from the early 1960s to the early 1990s. These durable glass-ceramic baking dishes were known for their ability to withstand extreme temperature changes, making them versatile for use in ovens, microwaves, and on stovetops. The production of Pyroceram-based CorningWare in the United States ceased in 2000 due to declining sales and rising production costs. However, the brand was relaunched with stoneware-based bakeware in 2001. While Pyroceram-based CorningWare is no longer produced in the US, it continues to be manufactured in France.
