Courrieu of Cogolain in France, one of the oldest pipe making factories in the world, are the makers of this pipe. It is made of Briar (bruyere in French), a heath-type shrub native to the Provence and Mediterranean region and is extremely hard and heat resistant. The bowl is lined with Meerschaum for a cooler smoke.
