Book and wrapper still in good condition - Neat gift message dated 1975 inside - Same edition Google image used - A very scarce title.   >>>    A Biblically encouraging and Biblically edifying devotional of poetry and words of wisdom for the person struggling with personal, family, or friends illness or death. There is a short devotional for each day of the year, including for leap year.   -   The title of this book was originally titled "CONSOLATION" before being changed to "Words of Comfort & Cheer". The original copyright for "CONSOLATION" was in 1944. The copyright was renewed in 1972 by Zondervan Publishing House.   -   "CONSOLATION"/"Words of Comfort & Cheer" was a project that had special meaning for Mrs. Charles E Cowman. Her husband Charles Cowman was a missionary to China before he and his wife had to return to the United States of America due to his rapidly failing health. She experienced firsthand the grief associated with illness and death of a spouse. She decided to write and publish a book that would help millions of others experiencing the same grief, hoping "CONSOLATION"/ "Words of Comfort & Cheer" would ease the pain of the loss.
