Established 1863, died 1911, with manufacturing premises at 6 Northampton Street, Birmingham and Showroom at 12, 14 Beake Street, Regent Street, London. Roundabout 1900 the firm name was changed to J.M. Banks & Co.
 business continued by his son until c1926.
Mostly made Chatelaine, cigarette case, matchbox holder, menu holder, napkin ring, pipe tamper, salt, souvenir spoon, sovereign case, tea service, vesta.
