Croc: Legend of the Gobbos (PS1) is a 3D platformer where you play as Croc, a small crocodile on a quest to rescue his adopted Gobbo family from the evil Baron Dante and his army of creatures.

The gameplay focuses on simple exploration, jumping puzzles, and collecting gems and rescuing Gobbos across colorful 3D levels.

Compared to Crash Bandicoot, it is less precise and more forgiving, with slower movement and more open environments rather than tight corridor-style platforming.

Compared to Spyro the Dragon, it is less polished and less open-ended, but similar in its collect-a-thon structure and whimsical tone.

Compared to Super Mario 64, it is more linear and mission-based, with simpler camera control and less complex movement mechanics.

Despite its simplicity, it is remembered fondly as one of the early 3D platformers that helped define the PlayStation era, with a charming aesthetic and easy-to-pick-up gameplay.
