Crocodile Fern Care guide

Light:

Crocodile ferns prefer indirect sunlight, so a location near an east- or west-facing window is ideal. Avoid placing them in direct sunlight, as this can cause the leaves to yellow and wilt.

Watering:

Keep the soil evenly moist, but not soggy. Water the plant thoroughly and allow the top inch of soil to dry out before watering again. In general, Boston ferns like humid environments, so consider misting the leaves or placing the plant on a pebble tray to increase humidity.

Soil: Use a well-draining soil mix specifically formulated for ferns.

Fertilizing: During the growing season (spring and summer), fertilize every two to four weeks with a balanced liquid fertilizer like Grobest. In Autumn and winter, fertilize monthly.

Temperature:

Ferns prefer warm, humid environments with temperatures between 15-24°C.

Repotting:

Repot ferns every two to three years, or when they outgrow their current pot. Choose a pot that is slightly larger than the current one, and be sure to use a well-draining soil mix.

Pruning:

Trim off any yellow or brown fronds as needed to maintain a healthy, attractive appearance.
