Crocus Vernus is a species in the family Iridaceae, native to the Alps, the Pyrenees and the Balkans. They are used as ornamental plants and grow between 10 and 15cm tall.

Dutch Crocus are one of the hardiest crocus species available. It can be planted in borders, rock gardens and even lawns. After flowering, the foilage must be left intact until it withers.  Cultivars of this species are typically white, lilac, purple and white striped
