🌞 Light Requirements:
Crotons thrive in bright light. For the best colour, give it a sunny spotat least a few hours of direct morning or late afternoon sun. Too little light will mute the colours.
💧 Watering:
Let the top layer of soil dry out slightly between waterings. Overwatering can lead to root rot, while underwatering may cause the leaves to drop. They're not fans of being ignored too long.
🌡 Humidity & Temperature:
These tropicals love humidity and warm temperaturesideally between 18°C and 30°C. Keep them away from cold drafts or air conditioners.
🪴 Soil & Repotting:
For optimal drainage and healthy roots, you can use our premixed Aroid Mix, or you can create your own potting mix using Barks Unlimited Potting Soil combined with Perlite. When repotting, mix in some Bark Chips to improve airflow and keep those roots happy.
🌿 Feeding:
Feed with a Controlled Release Fertiliser every six months or boost growth during spring and summer with an organic liquid fertiliser.
🪲 Pests:
They're generally tough, but if mealybugs or spider mites show up, treat them with an insecticidal spray.
