Early 'J.T. Jones' Crown Staffordshire Bird Figure (Chaffinch) 

This lovely, early, bone china figure of a bird (Chaffinch) perched on a branch, is beautifully hand painted with 'life-like' colours and detail. It was manufactured by the well-known 'Crown Staffordshire' factory in England and designed and modelled by 'Jack T. Jones' (born 1898), who joined the factory at the very young age of 13, where he spent 47 years, 30 as the art director. This beautiful bird is in excellent condition and carries the factory's backstamp on the base. The figure measures 10,5cm x 9cm and stands 9,5cm high.
