Dwight Eisenhower is regarded as one of America's greatest people of all time and perhaps this being his greatest book. Here he recounts a classical personal account of the latter half of WWII. In the role as Supreme Commander he recounts the role of the Allied Forces in the liberation of Europe, the victory in Europe and the growing menace of Soviet Russia.

Internally there is a date and previous owner's name neatly inscribed. Pages have tanned , there is foxing on front and back end papers but otherwise clean. Binding is soft but no loose pages. Page ends have browned with spotted foxing. No dust jacket. Cloth cover faded. Edges bumped and some of the corners worn. Still a good read and a good addition to a military library collection .
