They load all their worldly goods onto an old truck and drive off into one of the world's most mysterious deserts.

As soon as Mark and Delia Owens completed their university courses in America, they came to South Africa to study the larger carnivores in the wild. They camped in a small island of trees in the Kalahari Desert and shared their camp with an elephant shrew, a flock of hornbills and a leopard. The lions they studied, behaved differently from any other prides previously studied in Africa. With many colour photographs.

This edition first published 1985 by Collins, London. Signed by both authors. Condition: Very good.
