A LARGE CHRYSTAL WHISKY GLASS. WITH A NICE FLOWER FINGERLEAVE CUT PATTERN ON THE SIDES. IT FEEL HEAVY TO THE HAND AND WEIGHS 450G. A HIGH QUALITY ITEM MADE IN EDINBURGH SCOTLAND!
THIS IS A REAL CHRYSTAL 24% LEAD GLASSES! IT MAKES A BEAUTIFUL REVERBERATING RINGING SOUND WHEN LIGHLY STRUCK. IT ALSO CREATES A SUBTLE TONE WHEN YOU RUN A WET FINGER AROUND THE EDGES. CIRCA 1980-1997 WHEN LEAD WAS STILL COMMONLY USED IN GLASS.

WHY IS LEAD CRYSTAL SO RARE AND EXPENSIVE?
They stopped the production of True Lead Glass in 2010. The health risks of lead mean that todays supposed lead glass is actually manufactured with substitutes for lead which makes true lead glass more valuable due to scarcity. Lead glasses are also desirable due to its clarity and exceptional transparency. The Lead content makes it also stronger and more durable. They use lead in their glass products for a reason - it simply looks stunning! Bohemian crystal is known for its brilliance. This brilliance is achieved precisely by the high amount of lead. Lead causes high refractive index in the glass which in turn increases the ability of the glass to separate light into all its colors. Also note leaded glas is safe to use it poses more of a risk to the manufacturers than the users.
