SmartPass is an energy management unit which controls and optimises energy produced by alternators, solar cells, wind power or conventional AC/DC chargers, and distributes it to the battery banks or consumers which require energy, such as the deep cycle bank, bow thruster batteries, consumers, etc. Used together with a D250S, SmartPass provides optimal charging via CTEK’s unique staged charging cycle, which also protects your batteries. SmartPass also has an integrated ‘battery guard’ which protects deep cycle batteries from harmful total discharge and ensures that critical equipment such as radio, emergency lights and navigation systems always function. SmartPass has a temperature sensor which protects batteries against high temperatures.
SmartPass is a fully automatic energy management system which can handle up to 80A for batteries of between 28-800Ah. The energy management system is IP65 classified (water jet and dust protected and approved for outdoor use). Suitable for all types of 12V lead-acid batteries.
Smart Pass can operate as a stand-alone unit, but works best in combination with D250S
Dual . The Smart Pass creates a priority path for charging the Service battery to recharge
it more quickly and efficiently. Attached energy sources like solar, wind or shore power will
charge both the Service and the Starter batteries through the Smart Pass . Service batteries
that are overheated due to age, high ambient temperature or other battery problems will be
protected from high alternator current
The SMARTPASS acts as an intelligent voltage sensitive switch; initially it provides high charge current to charge your service battery as quickly as possible and once the service battery voltage equals the starter battery voltage charging switches back to the D250S Dual

Shipping is payable by buyer, counter-to-counter speed services up to 1kg will be R85 ,counter-to-counter over 1kg will be R150, registered mail for smaller items available at R50.
Insurance is available at 3% of purchase price at buyers cost. Shipping is at your risk if you elect not to use this service. A tracking number will be forwarded as soon as item is sent.
All items will be shipped ONLY on Tuesdays and Fridays and ONLY after funds have cleared. If there is a delay you will be contacted via e-mail.
