The Cytac Inside the Waistband (IWB) Claw Holster is designed for every day concealed carry. It's made of a very lightweight high-tech polymer that weighs only 3 ounces, making this holster very comfortable & concealable. You won't even feel the weight of the holster on your body. Although lightweight, it is also very tough & durable & will last you a lifetime. Easy to use. Clips on and off your belt easily with a strong yet flexible belt clip and can be carried in most carry positions like appendix, strong side hip, cross draw, small of back.
What is a holster claw?
The IWB Claw Holster comes with two claw attachments making this holster great for appendix IWB carry. The claw is becoming a very popular attachment for Appendix IWB (AIWB) carry since it virtually eliminates printing in this position to provide maximum concealability. A holster "claw" is a device you attach to the holster that keeps the gun butt/grip pressed against your body in the appendix carry position so the butt of the gun doesn't stick out on the side and print under your clothes. The claw does this by pressing against your belt from the inside to push the holster and grip end of your gun back towards you. The claw can still be used in other carry positions or can also be totally removed so you can carry without the claw. Also includes a left handed claw so you can convert the holster for left handed appendix carry with claw.
Adjustable retention allows you to adjust the tightness of holster to your liking. You can also adjust the angle/cant of the belt clip, remove the claw completely, or convert the holster to left handed by switching the belt clip to the other side. This holster can be worn in the following positions....
- Appendix Carry - 1 or 2 o'clock position (10 or 11 o'clock for left handed shooters) Claw is great for appendix carry!
- Strong Side Hip - 3 or 4 o'clock position (9 or 8 o'clock for left handed shooters)
- Cross Draw - 10 o'clock position (2 o'clock for left handed shooters)
- Small of Back Carry - 6 o'clock position
This holster is NOT meant to carry outside the waistband like a police duty holster. Meant to be worn with holster tucked into your pants with metal clip clipped on the outside of your pants.
