The Elder Scrolls: Daggerfall is the second chapter in the highly acclaimed Elder Scrolls role-playing series. Its predecessor, TES: Arena, won over twenty Best Role Playing Game of the Year awards and set a new level for computer role playing. TES: Daggerfall is the most ambitious CRPG ever created and surpasses the high standard set in Arena.
Daggerfall offers you an opportunity to adventure in total freedom within a world where your destiny is of your own making and consequence evolves from your decisions. A world of love and darkness, magic and sorcery. Whether you choose to follow a quest or to venture out alone, you will interact with thousands of people as you travel across an expansive land in a time of fantasy and imagination.

- 8mb RAM minimum
- 2x speed CD-ROM drive; MPC LEVEL 2 REQUIRED
- 50 MB hard drive space for minimum install
- Supports Sound Blaster (+Pro, 16, AWE 32), Pro Audio Spectrum, Gravis Ultrasound, Ensoniq Soundscape and 100% compatible sound cards
- 256-colour VGA, VLB or PCI bus required
- Microsoft 100% compatible mouse required. Joystick optional
- Win 95 compatibility: Compatible in MS-DOS mode with 16-bit CD-ROM and mouse drivers installed; compatible in MS-DOS box with sufficient free RAM
IMPORTANT NOTE:
It can be a challenge getting these older DOS-based games to work on current computer systems.
I used the advice HERE in order to test it on my Athlon 3200+ XP computer and managed to get it running with some effort. I used the unofficial fan-made installer and VDMSound, but had to select the normal version of Sound Blaster (not the 16) as my MIDI device.
The game will be shipped in its original box which contains a single CD in a sleeve, an installation guide (obsolete with current computers), a booklet guide to the first tutorial dungeon, and a 90 page user's guide.
